“My Samsung Galaxy 6 edge takes FOREVER to charge on the charging pad??? ( I purchased the charging pad 3days ago) I have a short in the plug in port on my phone, would that cause this issue?”

My husband has an Otterbox on his phone and we found it charged much better laying on it's side than standing up. You might try that! If the short is on your phone it should not affect it because you are not plugging in to the phone.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Since it is not plugged into the port and is charging through "osmosis", no the short would not have an impact. Just an FYI, this charger is not real fast (snail like would be an appropriate description), I have replaced it with an Anker fast charge model (Best Buy carries them), it charges a whole lot faster than the Samsung model.
