I bought two of these for my work and personal phones, and both charge without issue. The only annoyance I've found is that one of my phones has a quad-lock on the case, and I've got to take it off to charge it. It is pretty thick, so it's not unreasonable, but I've got other charges that will charge it with the case on.

Great charger. Love that my phone can charge horizontally or vertically and I can use it while sitting on the base charging, if need be.

It's genuine Samsung, but a tad bit more expensive than should be. I've gone through 3 (horizontal design) wireless chargers (not Samsung's fault...a certain canine buddy of mine's fault). I never liked them for some reason...this design is the reason. It's perfect. It's almost vertical, but not quite. A great angle. I use it for a everyday clock when I'm not using the phone. Oh, it's a very fast Qi charger as well Summary: -1 star for price; +4 stars for excellent design/function.

    Convenient, but with some drawbacks

I always figured plugging your usb cable in and out can make that part of the phone wear down fast. It's a testament to my old Samsung galaxy S5, I had that for about 3 years, and the charger wasn't like it was before. That said, I like this about this charger, and your phone is upright, so you can fiddle with it while its sitting up. It also has a light on that shows if your phone is fully charged or not, and when you place it on, it tells you the battery percentage on your phone. But some drawbacks I've noticed -- it says "fast charge," but definitely charging it with the cable is much faster. If you have a popsocket or one of those finger rings attached to the back, you're going to have to take it off, because I'm assuming the technology has it so the phone lays flat on the back. That is to say the case might matter -- I have a spigen case, that's not too thick, and not too thin and it works fine.

After about 6 months, my charger for my Galaxy S8+ went bad. Charging became slow, or would take several "twists" to the cord, signifying there was a short in it. As I couldn't be 100% certain it was the cord, the power brick, or the phone power jack, I opted to go wireless to try & ensure I'd be getting my phone charged, especially with a road trip coming up quickly. When I first entered Best Buy, the immediate find on a wireless charger seemed to include a connection between wall and charger that wouldn't double as a straight connection between phone and wall. But then I saw this one; the charger offered a new power brick and cord that could double not only to connect to the wireless charger, but directly to the phone, and was on sale for the same price. While the wireless charger offers fast charge, it's not *quite* as fast as a direct connection, so be aware. That said, that difference is so miniscule (maybe 5 minutes difference with 1/3 of a remaining full charge,) that you'll probably never return to a direct connection again. Atop that small difference in charge time, also consider it's always best to give yourself an extra moment's glance when setting your phone in the cradle to ensure it's drawing a charge. There's a very rare, almost impossible opportunity that you set it sooo off-kilter it isn't making the comnection. As reference, the phone can be set upright or even sideways and draw a charge, so this is darned near impossible, but it can happen, so give that extra second of attention, as you don't want to grab what you think is a fully charged phone on your way out the door and discover it's as empty as when you set it down.

I bought this charger to use at work with my iPhone X and a UAG Monarch case. The case is a little thicker than most so I was wondering how well it would work. So far it has worked flawlessly. The charger is sleek and appealing. I like the convenience of not having to plug my phone in anytime I want to charge it.

I tried a few wireless chargers offered in the market including generic brands and brands tailored to charging batteries. The other charges do not compare to the Samsung wireless chargers. Yes the price is a bit on the high side, but it's worth it if you expect a lot from a charge. For the other 3 chargers I purchased I had to find a "sweet spot" before I left the phone alone to charge. With the Samsung wireless chargers I just place the phone in landscape or portrait mode and it does its job. I am also able to use the phone while its charging since it's in an upright position. It also charges at a faster rate than the other chargers I own. It feels sturdy and it charges even with a thick case on. I'm overall impressed by the quality of the charger.

I got this charger to use with my new S9 phone. It charges the phone well. I have an Otter Box cover and it still charges. Plugging in the phone's charging cable charges quicker but the ability to walk in and just set my phone down and it be charging is very convenient. Sometimes when I set the phone on the cradle it doesn't start charging, but moving the phone slightly to one side corrects this. Only negative thing I can say is that when I'm mirroring Netflix to my TV, it can't charge fast enough to keep the battery from slowly going down so I have to physically plug in. Any other time it's great. Removing the Otter box might correct this complaint but I haven't tried it, it's not a deal breaker for me anyway.

I have an Apple iPhone X that charges on the Qi format but guess what? Apple makes No chargers for them! None! So I bought this one HOPING that it would work and it does..,beautifully. And it also charges quickly. My guests with Samsung Qi phones can also use the stand when they stop by. I have purchased a second one and will probably get more. It is also beautiful. Another thing to note, unlike the charging PADS WHERE YOU HAVE TO GET IT ON JUST the right spot or it won’t charge at all, I charge this one I. It’s leather case and have never had any issues like that. It just works every time! Fabulous item!!!!

No complaints -- favorite wireless charger so far

Since getting a Qi-compatible smartphone, I've gone a little wireless charger crazy. This was my fourth purchase. The first three were made by Samsung (the flat Fast Charge model,) Ravpower, and Belkin. This Samsung stand is my favorite so far, primarily for the advantages it has over the other three. Compared to all of the other three (which are flat,) the stand makes it much easier to properly set into place for a proper charge. This model has two charging coils, placed in such a way so that you can charge your phone in either landscape or portrait orientation. It wasn't until writing this that I realized the convenient purpose of the landscape option -- the product doubles as a charging kickstand of sorts if you use your phone often for watching movies and the like. The Samsung chargers also don't warm my phone/battery up nearly as much as the Ravpower and Belkin chargers. This may be a result of only charging my iPhone X at 5W as opposed to 7.5W or more -- I couldn't say for sure, as I haven't bothered doing any charge time comparisons -- but less heat translates to less stress on the battery. Finally, the indicator light at the bottom of the device is subtle enough in a dark room, and is also placed below the center of the pad, which makes lining the phone up quick and easy (using the "Home Bar" on the iPhone X, or the icons in an Android phone's menu bar.)

Not much to say about this. It's a straightforward device, just the charge stand, the cord, and the USB-to-outlet plug. The phone's at a comfortable angle to set up, say, next to your computer. The wireless charging kicks in pretty fast, and my phone doesn't overheat or anything. The cord itself, for those that may be unsure, is maybe three feet long or so, and is USB-to-USB C. Personally, since my setup requires some more finagling, I've bought a new cord for it, but I don't hold that against the packaged device itself.
