The USB outlet in your car is not meant to charge your phone at a high rate, it’s only meant to maintain the charge while you’re plugged in. Possibly your phone is using more power than the outlet provides, like if you are streaming music and using your phone’s navigation at the same time. If you use this fast charger, you will lose the ability to plug your phone into your radio, and audio from your phone will only be played through your radio via Bluetooth. Also, most foreign car’s cigarette outlets are switched, meaning the power to this outlet is shut off when the ignition is off, to prevent accessories from draining your car’s battery.
