Yes, you can. I have Windows 10 and I'm planning on installing Windows 11 soon, so I'm sure it'll work with Windows 8.1.

I wouldn’t see why not as one option for connection is using old 9-pin connector. Also USB or HDMI options. I use Bluetooth to connect to laptop. Check with Samsung US customer service. They are pretty good too.
