The door does not open beyond 90° on this model. I think the two refrigerators can be very close, but probably not touching. It's hard to measure and photograph, but when the door is open, it is about 8-10mm proud of the side of the refrigerator, whereas the gap on the closed side is only about 6-7mm. The extra 1-2mm is the glass which is proud of the door frame. Hope this sketch helps.
