The middle part is a flex zone, you choose for it to be a fridge or freezer, all the way to the bottom is just the freezer

The bottom half of the Samsung refrigerator is a freezer. However, the first drawer is called a Flexzone. The Flex Zone is a full-width drawer with adjustable temperature control. You can use the Flex Zone for large party trays, deli items, wines, pizzas, beverages, or miscellaneous items. There is a temperature sensor which lets you adjust the amount of cold air allowed into the Zone. I have shared the user manual link below.
