“I’ve asked this question before and appreciate the responses but still uncertain . I have the French door bespoke without the beverage center , there are dual ice makers in the freezer section . Wondering how it knows when the bin is full .”

When the ice bin is full the freezer will stop making ice.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Not sure what you mean by this question but when the ice bins are full, it stops making ice. Just like ice dispensers in the door it can sense when it’s full to stop making.

As per checking, Samsung's ice makers are designed to stop when they're full. There are two methods for this: an optical sensor or a mechanical arm, which detects when ice has piled high enough. If your ice maker won't stop making ice, it means ice is not accumulating high sufficient to reach the sensor or arm, typically because the ice bucket is not in the proper position. We move the ice to the front of the tray so we can get fuller bins of ice. What we have noticed is that if you do not move the ice up it only fills about half way.
