• Hi, Great question. The 2nd ice maker is located in the freezer section of the fridge, and there is no cover on it. • It is dispensing on the tray underneath the cover.

• The ice maker is in the lower drawer(freezer). Top-left corner of that section. The ice drops into the covered compartment that makes up a portion of the upper part of that freezer and is covered with a sliding cover that one can push back when the drawer is extended.
