“Just purchased this cover for 87 year old. Wanted to be able to use camera while still in case but lack of edge protection and attachment solely with magnets may not protect it enough. Is there an alternative ?”

Yes. I've loved the products made by Moko on Amazon. They have three different kinds for this tablet. the one I got was basically the one in the middle, as far as protection and coverage goes. It was less than $13, and well worth the price. if you're looking for something that's non-magnetic, that may be difficult to find, but there are those that have magnetic clasps that go over the book to hold the tablet in when closed.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am a 75 year old and have not found any problem. tablet adheres well to case and has never slipped out. Only alternative I know about contains a keyboard. and makes the case thicker. Think your 87 year old will do just great with this.
