I believe it could be the computer itself or the game. A monitor or tv would not make a difference, only the resolution. perhaps the computer is too weak for that game with 1080p

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It wont take a lot of memory. Its all dependent on your graphics card if it can handle HD or not and how fast the processor runs with the graphics card.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No monitor requires memory to run. You do have video memory to display the graphics but that doesn't slow down ones computer. You might have spyware that is bogging down your son's system. I would suggest running 2 applications that can check and clean spyware. Also, how fast is your son's computers CPU and how much physical memory does he have i.e. 4gb, 8gb, 12gb or 16gb? How much free disk space does he have? These are all questions that you need to look at if your system is running slow.
