There is no tv tuner in it but you can connect any cable box to it
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Evie: for any computer monitor, when hooked to a cable box, confirm the following: There's a button on the screen's remote to turn it on and adjust the volume when changing channels. There's a TINT slider for skin-tone (orangish/greenish). There'a contrast slider. The required "IR Sensor eye" window is just simply not there, on the front of a computer display.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You could plug your cable box into the HMDI slot (use as TV) and use the DisplayPort for the monitor part. Or you can use a HMDI hub and connect cable box , cpu and gaming system that way with all HMDI cables.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Can be used as a TV with an external tuner, (ie. Cable box). Has no internal tuner, otherwise yes. Ours is hooked up to desktop and our cable box, we use as both
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This monitor does not have an internal TV tuner.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi evie827, this monitor does not have a TV tuner, but you can connect a set top box to it. I hope this information helps. ^Rosi
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The monitor has multiple inputs to accept both a computer and a cable box at the same time(VGA/DP for computer, HDMI for cable box). The monitor cannot display both at the same time (no PIP). All controls are on the back of the monitor. It has a screen, it has built-in speakers. You can connect a cable box using an HDMI cable and watch TV. It does not have a TV Tuner or a remote. You cannot screw in a cable or antenna. You cannot change the volume with a remote. You can change the volume with the button on the back of the monitor or reduce the volume from the connected device (aka a computer). You could also connect a soundbar or receiver using the headphone output on the back of the monitor.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, I connect my Apple TV to and sometimes a spare cable box to watch football games in my office. Works fine especially since most cable boxes only output at 1080i like mine. Depending on your visual settings preference you may need to make some asjustment for live tv. The speakers in the back also work when connected to hdmi but they aren't super loud so you will want to watch it within close proximity like I do on my desk when I watch it with the cable box or Apple TV. I run the Audio to external speakers anyway but keep that in mind if you want to use this as a main TV. But definitely only use it as a TV set if you're going to be sitting close by.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, has and HDMI port and built in speakers
