“The description says "Slide-In", but the picture looks like a "Free Standing" ... Samsung site describes as "Free Standing". Can you confirm what is the right description as it makes a difference for my kitchen. One style will work, the other will not”

It is freestanding. There is no lip on the edge like a traditional slide-in. If you get the normal stainless finish, you can go to a well known site that starts with A and search for "Stainless Steel Stove to Counter Gap Cover" - it's a perfect match and covers the side gap cleanly. Looks like it came with the range.

Thanks for asking, oliver! A slide-in range is a range with the control knobs on the front to allow for a seamless background behind the range. As this model also has finished sides, it can be used as a freestanding model if desired. ^Jecca
