“Is there any hardware setting (a switch, a monitor menu option, etc) to make the monitor behave as one single 1920x1080 monitor? Asking bc of older games, which may not handle the display ratio well. I know some other ultrawides have this option.”

Yes. You can have two computers plugged in at once and go into split mode. I haven’t used just one computer In split mode at a time but I’m sure there wouldn’t be an issue.
