There's always better if you can spend more ... But at this price I doubt you'll find better specs and build quality in an alloy chassis..
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There's always something "better" but I really like this tablet. The screen is *so* bright that a backlit keyboard is not necessary. HDMI could be used with a USB-C to HDMI adapter.

My Samsung Chromebook Plus developed serious hardware issues after just 6 weeks of use and Samsung has been difficult to deal with to get this product fixed and Best Buy won't accept returns after 14 days. I have 35 Acer R13's in my classroom and they are holding up great with 125 high schoolers using them daily.

Someday it will be, but right now Android apps are not fully compatible with Chrome OS, which is what this device is running. But if you simply want to use Chrome OS in tablet mode, then you're not going to find anything better than this. (At least, not until the Samsung Chromebook Pro comes out later this year) Also, both USB-C ports support external displays, so you don't even need HDMI, you just need a USB-C to HDMI adapter, which are very inexpensive. And FYI, USB-C is a more modern port than HDMI. And finally while it's a shame that this device doesn't have a backlit keyboard, it really wouldn't matter if you're using it as a tablet since the keyboard is disabled in tablet mode.
