A:Answer The difference is Cubic Ft. capacity, same features. As of December 2016, I have continuously checked all month long for price drops and sales (for price matching). I have initially purchased the 27.9 Standard depth black chrome for $3,799.99. One week later, gone on sale for $3.399.99. The only difference aside from capacity is the counter depth is currently $100 more, also based on color or finish. Generally speaking, the counter depth supposed to be designed to be recessed in more to stand flush with the cabinetry and counter top. Fact being, I have found the counter depth refrigerator to still extend from my counter and cabinetry by 5 inches but settled for the larger capacity of 27.9 as it extended out only about 5" more than the counter depth. So, opted for the larger refrigerator, extending about 10" from my counter and cabinetry but still looks great and very pleased with the refrigerator.
