You would need to find out if your phone is qi capable and if it is some phones will charge slow using this charger if it is not a qi fast charging enabled phone

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I did a quick search for you on Samsung's page. Unfortunately I see that the J7 is not listed as a compatible device. I would suggest going to the Samsung page and finding out what is comparable and then coming back over to Best Buy and getting that model.
