“I use this mostly as a desktop. I have set it to "protect battery" 85%, but to get the best battery life should I leave the charger plugged in, which keeps it at 85%, or should I periodically let it cycle down to 20% low battery warning?”

I dont leave mine plugged in all the time. If im using it, i make sure its charged to the 85%. When i finish usung it (for that time period), i check the level if battery and if its 15% or lower, i will plug it in until i use it again
