• Yes there is an extra slot for RAM. There is even a video on youtube that shows how to do it. Max Ram recommended by Samsung is 32 GB.

• I just installed a 32GB stick in mine and it's showing the full 40GB available

• Max is 24 GB - 8 GB is soldered on and the largest stick the Ion supports in the one available memory slot is 16 GB.

• Thanks. Max RAM total recommended by Samsung is 32GB including the 8 GB it comes with? Or can you safely add a 32GB RAM stick for a total of 40GB of RAM (including the 8 GB soldered / built-in RAM)?

• 8 GB is soldered but you can add a 32 GB RAM to make it 40gb max RAM

• No. They said The max it can hold is 32 GB. So you can add 24GB of extra ram.
