• You can use either side as one earbud when on a call or you can use both. Same concept as the airpods. Just leave the other one in the case if you dont want both in your ear.

• I tend to only use 1 bud at a time so I wouldn't be able to answer honestly. I know I love the buds. They fit very well and sound quality is amazing.
