“What is the range on these? Do I have to have my phone right with me or can I walk away say like 80 or 100 ft away. I don’t want to drop calls going out to the backyard if my phone is on the charger in the house”

I just tried it bc I've never really used the call function but it held up for about 80 ft.

Most Bluetooth devices (like these earbuds) have a typical range of 25' to 30' plus some. Without any barriers, like a wall or windows, you may reach close to 40' in receiving range. Using only the smartphone Bluetooth and the earbuds I doubt you will reach 80'.
