• Up to 10 in my opinion. When they need to start saving homework and other documents, might not be large enough capacity especially if they take a lot of pictures.

• This tablet is good for those ages. It depends on what kind of school where your children are doing overall it works on the 2 apps, my kids use for school.

• Yes homework can be done, but I would get the 9.7 tab A for doing homework. That is what I got my 10 year old and 15 year old. Larger screen easier to work with. Hope that helps.
