“Are there any note 8 unlocked thats in the stores already and If I buy this note 8, does it mean I can buy the phone itself or do I have to have a carrier with it when being purchased?”

We purchased the phone in store and we asked for unlock. My boyfriend then switch his SIM card from his old phone into this one and it worked just fine. You don't have to purchase it through a carrier.
