“How does the phone I order off of Bestbuy.com get activated? Thinking of ordering a phone of their site and have it delivered to my home. How does it get activated? Do i have to take it in to a Best Buy retailer or to a Verizon store?”

You can call Verizon Customer Service. Phones can be activated online provided you are a current account holder and you can read identification details on the telephone, and follow simple instructions.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depends if you (1) buying off contract or (2) upgrading with new contract. (1) You simply swap the SIM card from your old phone to your new phone. (2) They will send a new SIM card. You put it in, call a special Verizon number they send you, and the new SIM card becomes active (your old one in your old phone is no longer active).

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I got one in mail last week new contract came no sim from best buy and trying to activate it and get a sim has been a nightmare. Best buy sends you to a carrier.. carrier back to best buy. Got a phone paid the month service and still no sim has come a whole week gone by nothing...worst decision
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you choose the "pick up at store" option, after you compete your order on the website, they will send you an email when it's ready to pick up. They will activate it right there in the store when you pick it up.
