The Samsung Galaxy S5 has the same IP67 certification as the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, which means according to the IP rating scale it is completely dust-proof and can be submerged underwater up to 1 metre depth for 30 minutes. IP stands for Ingress Protection and is essentially a rating system developed by the International Electrotechnical Commission or the IEC.
