Please try again later.They get reimbursed by the carrier for each one sold, basically if you buy a verizon phone, verizon discounts the phone to the retailer, or they directly reimburse them for each one sold. There is no catch, other than you can't get the color you want as a warranty repair if it goes bad, and it usually is a refurbished phone when you get it.

But Best Buy has a really good relationship with Samsung, since they have Samsung stores in their locations. So sometimes they work out a short-time deal where Samsung gives them the phones for less money than usual. It's pretty sweet.
