I just switched my phone from a locked one to this unlocked S10e. You will not have any issues with keeping your same number. As far as plans, you will need to contact customer support with Verizon to determine if you wish to stay with them or find another carrier. This phone is universally unlocked, so it can be used with any available carriers including prepaid ones. Good luck!
