From what I have read, if you plan on using 5G on Verizon, you must buy the compatible version of this phone that work's with that 5G. There are different bandwidths of 5G; Verizon's is a bit faster than the unlocked version of this phone handles. The unlocked phone is more compatible with T-Mobile, which uses a slightly lower bandwidth of 5G.
