Verizon has licensed a frequency band in the spectrum above 27GHz for 5G. The frequency bands in that part of the spectrum are much wider than the bands used for 3 and 4G LTE. Wide bandwidth enables a form of modulation that allows very high bit rates, meaning FAST. Wide bandwidth is called Ultra Wide (UW).
