Best buy has to activate it while youre in the store or you pay the full price. So if you dont have a contract and you dont want to start one then it will cost the full price.

You can buy the phone "Unlocked" for $799. Add another $50 and you can get the upgrade from 128gb storage, to 256gb. Unlocked means you can take it to any carrier to activate.
