The question was asked because, when I tried to buy the unlocked Galaxy S22, it was listed with $100 discount -- but it said "activation required," that's why the question was asked -- and certainly not answered. I will assume from your "none-answer" that the actual answer to my question is NO.

The "Activate Required" is a lower cost and requires you to activate it as a new line at a carrier. I buy all of my Best Buy phones as" Unlocked" you can put you sim in without issue.
