I got an early upgrade, $200 gift card, and a wireless charger so I'm not sure what your store is doing to you.

It states its a guareented $200 when you trade in a working smartphone. If it was indeed a working smartphone that they could have powered on, I would go back to Best buy or contact Customer Service.

They are both different companies and share different "regulations" they have to follow per the government. It's sales. Red tape, if you will. Also, almost nothing in life is guaranteed. There's always a disclaimer.
