• Go to settings, merge tabs and apps, and turn it off. That worked for me using Google Chrome. Good luck!

• To close tabs in browser mode, you must tap the Tabs button located on the bottom right corner of your phone. Tapping that button will bring up any tabs you previously opened but never closed.
