I am also with AT&T and have been for over 15 years! Yes, you can do an UPGRADE with the phone. However, there is a catch regarding the upgrade. I would go to the Best Buy store, and ask them for the details regarding the upgrade. If you read all the details here (including the "fine" print which many people do NOT read) it does mention the upgrade details (information). This is an Unlocked phone (I purchased the Pink one). Sadly, AT&T doesn't offer good deals (like Best Buy) so I have never purchased my phone from an AT&T store. I purchased this phone, and went to the AT&T store to have AT&T activate my phone. I did an upgrade from my Galaxy S5 to this one. I love it and it is SUPER FAST and so much better than the older Galaxy cell phone models. I highly recommend this phone to anyone seeking an upgrade. Treat yourself this Christmas (LOL)!
