• It did not change my plan or plan cost or line cost. Just added activation/ equipment upgrade charge of $30 per phone to first bill and the $17.50 per phone charge for the next 24 billing cycles.

• No, you can get the phone with the same plan which is what I did. They do give you the option if you do want to.
