I'm not sure about Cricket but I have Tracfone. I asked the Samsung rep and a Best Buy rep in the store. They both said I wouldn't have a problem. All I had to do was switch the sim card from my LG I was using to the unlocked Samsung S8. Worked perfectly. Didn't have to call Tracfone for anything.
