I have been an att customer for a while and still got $300 off Samsung galaxy s 9 at best buy. I didn't have to trade in a phone to get that discount either.

Please try again later.You don't need to be a new customer to get the best deals, you just need to be "out of contract" and buying a phone that is eligible for the deal you're looking at. Different phones will have different discounts. Generally, you can upgrade phones at a reduced cost every one or two years depending on your contract/plan. I have had AT&T for many years and upgrade my phone every two years when the end-of-year sales are going... I've never had an issue. Note: There are certain free phone or BOGO deals that will only apply if you are a new customer or adding a line of service. Although I don't think they had a deal like this for Galaxy S9.
