• Currently (Jan 2017) the latest version of this tablet is the Tab A (2016), look for the (2016) in the name. It's also known as the SM-P580 ("P" for S-Pen I guess) or the SM-T580 for the version with out the S-Pen. It ships with Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) and has yet to receive the over the air update to Android 7.0 (Nougat). I wouldn't let this concern you since the main new feature of 7.0 is the ability to split the screen between apps. Which Samsung has included in their custom version of Android for several years now.
