Hi there Bluepanda, thanks for taking the available time out of your busy day to ask us your question about the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8. The advertised version of the Galaxy Tab A8 is a Wi-Fi enabled version that lacks cellular capabilities so it would require a steady Wi-Fi signal in order for it to be fully functional. This version lacks the need for a SIM card so you will not have a SIM card tray available. This tablet does, however, have a microSD card tray to expand out the storage up to 1TB.
