It connects to any wifi. If you already have accounts, it will connect to them via wifi. The software does come with a “phone” app, so i believe there is a way to add it to your plan, but i have not done so.

The Galaxy Tab A9+ will be functional while on an airplane for offline activities, however, to use Wi-Fi for web browsing and email, you will need to purchase in-flight Wi-Fi. You will need an account (like a Google account) to use email and many other features, especially those that require syncing or app downloads.
