• Yes it is possible. I have ran WD 2tb my passports on mine. You will need a usb adapter that you plug the hard drive into then into the tablet. I picked up the plug at the Samsung experience inside my local Best Buy

• No you can not connect a external hard drive. The tablet has no USB ports. But you can use a micro SD card up to 64 Gb. Tablet also has 32 gb internal memory.
