A:AnswerThe sizes are not the same. Samsung and Apple use a different aspect ratio - hopefully correctly said. The iPad seems more spacious when viewing the same 10" size for both.

A:AnswerIf you discontinue subscription services you will no longer have a phone # associated with said tablet and you will be unable to do anything requiring data services unless you are connected to Wi-Fi.
(Examples:
-Slotomania,(which is an online casino slots game) even after the app is downloaded, would not be playable while on a camping trip in a rural/remote area since Wi-Fi is unavailable.
-Facebook would not be accessible while driving, again due to no Wi-Fi connection. (Unless your vehicle has built in Wi-Fi.)
-Google maps is fairly useless on a road trip...because it requires internet...and generally there's no Wi-Fi on a road trip.
-You would only have access to media (photos, music, videos, books, etc) that you have downloaded and saved to your internal storage or sd card.
-You can still play games that don't require a connection to play...such as Smurf's Village or Angry Birds. Updates to these and all other apps if course would require your Wi-Fi. )
If your mobile phone can be used as a hotspot or you have a standalone hotspot and you have a data plan that provides unlimited or at least a decent amount of data (or data overage charges are not an issue) it would be feasible to connect your tablet to your phone"s hotspot and you could avoid disconnection that way. However, if you find yourself in an area lacking mobile data services...the hotspot plan won't do any good.
If you go for the Wi-Fi option and want to call and/or text from the tablet; there is a variety of apps that allow you to call/text via Wi-Fi absolutely free. There are a few pesky ads of course...but you'll have a # the app will assign you and you can put these apps on multiple devices and use your free Wi-Fi number for all of them. Personally, I use 'Text Now' and it has worked well for me.
