• No, the Dex capability has a on-screen keyboard. Note that the Dex capability is not a true PC but in fact an expansion of the Android interface to allow resizable 'windows' for apps that are installed on the tablet, it also allows apps to run simultaneously in 'windows'.

• Simple answer is no you do not the keyboard to access the DeX computer in the tab s4. However you do get some extra features by purchasing the Samsung keyboard which has been optimized for use with the s4 tablet.
