Think there is a carrier version if you want LTE/5G. If it says Wifi then you would have the link phone and messages through an app through wifi. Windows does it but never done it myself on an Android. Know google messenger has the option for RSS and that is easy to setup. If you want a carrier version check Samsung site or a Verizon version on Best buy.
