“Can I take the Sim card out of my phone and make the tablet my new "phone". I want to convert and carry less devices, so having a tablet that's both a phone and a sort of "laptop" would be ideal.”

This version lacks a SIM card tray needed in order to have wireless service rendered to it by your wireless carrier.
