LTE means it has cellular service. You can leave your phone at home at receive texts and phone calls on your watch. You'll need to add the device to your current plan. BT only works with the phone as the connection to the network.

The BT version only has blue tooth connectivity and must be within about 20 feet of your phone. The LTE version has its own phone number so you do not need to have your phone with you to make or receive calls. Also, the LTE can send an SOS call if you take a hard fall and do not respond within 60 seconds. Make sure your carrier can activate it. I had to switch to T-Mobile
