Thanks LinckG for this information. If this is true then the new Galaxy Watch 4 will be less scratch resistant compared to original Galaxy watch. Google info on Gorilla DX versus DX+ - "Both the DX and DX+ composites are claimed to let through the same 98% of light, but the DX+ composite is more scratch resistant than the standard DX coating, according to Corning."

I put a tempered glass screen protector on my Original Galaxy Watch, which I still wear today with the original protector on it. It's glass. So, it feels like the bare screen, and it is replaceable. I forget I even have it, until it comes up. I usually pull the screen protector off my phones after getting tired of replacing them, but for the watch, I've been very pleased. As for upgrading, I decided to upgrade, and am waiting on the back ordered watch to be filled. I'm not sure if I'll put a screen protector on the new watch or not. I've found that since I wear it on my wrist, it has many less chances to get scratched than my phones do. I've bashed it into things, but it doesn't ride around with keys or magazines rubbing on it like my phones do.
