Unfortunately the Galaxy Watches are a lot like the Apple Watches. A lot of their features won't work without your phone being from the same brand as the watch. The good news is, unlike Apple, Samsung has some cheap phones.

The advertised Galaxy Watch6 Classic (LTE) is compatible with non-Samsung phones that have Android 8.0 and RAM 1.5 GB or higher. This LTE version of the Watch6 Classic would require service being provided by a wireless carrier in order to be fully functional when your paired device is too far away from your watch.
