• it reads your heart rate from your wrist. when in "exercise" mode, it monitors continuously (sort of). You have to wake the screen to show what your heart rate is. Normally you chose the mode and it will get a reading. Reading with your finger is only on your phone.

• It measures your heartrate by activating the feature on your wrist device. You dont have to hold your finger to it. However it doesnt measure it continuously. It measures it and tells you what it is at that time. So if you were running you could measure it if you take a break or after you are done, I'm not sure if it will work while your actually moving.

• You have to tap each time you want to measure it .If it connects to shealth it will log it in the program.

• You press a button on lcd and it shows heart rate, not continuous. Heart rate in beats per minute is displayed on screen after measurement.

• it measures your wrist, and no you hit the button for hr and it does it on its own you just sit still for like 20 seconds

• The Gear Fit's heart rate monitor is a one time read. It will read while you have it on your wrist so you do not have to use your finger like the phone. It will not continuously read your heart rate.
