Yes it does. And what's great is that you can even Answer (you still need to talk on your phone) or Reject Calls, Read and Quick Reply to Text Messages and Read Emails. It is actually a bit more functional than just showing you notifications which I love.

You can choose which messages you want pushed through. Facebook, emails, texts, phone calls...very nice device, but not a smartwatch. Can go 3 days on a charge!

Using the Samsung Gear app on your phone you can select which apps can sent alerts to your watch. I didn't want an email alerts as I get too many, but it is available.

Yep, I receive all notifications such as Facebook reply's, Facebook Messenger, Texts, emails, calls (even let's your swipe to reject call or answer). But you can also tell it which notification's you want to receive.

Yes, it will show all notifications from your phone. You can choose which applications to show and hide from showing on your Gear Fit 2 device. Some of the notifications give you options, like some email programs allow you to delete from the notification. When a phone call comes in, it will let you answer your phone from your watch. It think it works very well!
