The watch has its own microphone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No you can say the contact into the watch, then say your text. Don't have to take phone out. Also works the sane with phone calls. And I'm quite impressed with the sound quality when talking to someone on through my watch. I've asked and people I'm talking to, and they said I sounded the same as being on my phone.
